Hope for train stationCAMBRIDGE - There is hope for Hespeler's train station. A meeting with C.A. Ventin Architects to restore the train station was "very positive" said Paul Langan, chairman of the Hespeler Heritage Railway Station Association. The association is trying to buy the train station and turn the front room into a living museum, Mr. Langan said. He called Friday's meeting "the most positive experience" he's had involving the train station in the last few months. Mr. Langan is expecting a proposal from the architecture company over the next three weeks. The association's goal is to buy the station by the end of March and to begin tours shortly thereafter. Mr. Langan says Hespeler's history has not been preserved. "School children have nowhere to go to learn about the past." |
